Have you ever taken a nature walk? It’s a great way to discover new and interesting things. In this lesson, you’ll go on a nature walk through the city of London where you’ll see many kinds of plants that have a variety of different characteristics.
While you’re on the virtual nature walk in London, you’ll have a list of certain items to look for. Then, you can go outside to do another nature walk and see if you find the same things! After that, you’ll have the opportunity to choose one of the plants you’ve observed and conduct a research project on it.
What you’ll learn:
- Plant characteristics on an introductory level.
Pre-lesson discussion questions:
- Can you describe a plant you’ve seen outside?
- Was it tall or short?
- Was it thick or thin?
- What color was it?
- Where did you see it?
- How many different plants do you think you’ve seen outside?
